Salmon, Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), and more could be biting if you come at the right time of year. For these species, you're likely to troll.

Wilder Adventures
With more than 30 years of experience fishing the waters of Lake Michigan, Captain Chad Wilder has spent decades pursuing salmon, steelhead, and lake trout while developing an intimate knowledge of the lake’s ever-changing conditions. His passion for fishing began long before he became a charter captain, and years of hands-on experience have given him the skills to consistently put anglers on fish.
In 2023, Chad turned a lifelong passion into a profession by earning his U.S. Coast Guard captain’s license and launching charter adventures designed to share the excitement of Great Lakes fishing with others. Whether you're a seasoned angler looking to target trophy salmon or a first-time fisherman hoping to experience the thrill of a screaming drag, Captain Chad is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and memorable day on the water.
Known for his local knowledge, dedication, and love of the sport, Captain Chad takes pride in helping guests create lasting memories while experiencing some of the finest fishing Lake Michigan has to offer. Every trip is an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Great Lakes, learn from decades of experience, and chase the fish that keep anglers coming back year after year
Wilder Adventures
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
A First Mate or Capitain will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 20% tip
